Jeb A. Crandall focuses his practice in medical malpractice, correctional healthcare, and general-liability insurance defense. Jeb's experience includes the following:

               Significant Experience

-      Unanimous medical review panel opinion in favor of Defendant physician in a medical malpractice case involving allegations of a failure to diagnose cauda equina syndrome, which left Plaintiff with temporary paralysis. 

-      Defense verdict obtained after a three-day jury trial in a case involving a dispute between neighbors resulting in injury.  The Defendant was covered under his homeowner's policy subject to a reservation of rights. 

-      Summary judgment received for a preeminent long-term care provider on a slip-and-fall case in which Plaintiff was visiting a resident at the facility.  Defendant nursing home was able to establish that Plaintiff could not identify what caused him to fall. 

                                               Memberships

Jeb is a member of the Indiana Bar Association, Defense Trial Counsel of Indiana (DTCI) and the Defense Research Institute (DRI).  As a member of the DTCI, Jeb chairs the Young Lawyers section and was responsible for organizing and hosting the 2011 "Rookie Seminar," which is a full-day seminar directed at lawyers in their first few years of practice.  Jeb is also actively involved with the DRI, specifically the Nursing Home/ALF Litigation section, and currently serves as the sponsorship chair for the 2011 Nursing Home/Alf Litigation seminar in Boston, Massachusetts.  Jeb was also selected as a "Rising Star" by Indiana Super Lawyers in 2009, 2010, and 2011.

                                                  Education

Jeb graduated from Southern Illinois University-Carbondale in 2003. As an undergraduate, Jeb studied business and graduated with a degree in Business Management. In 2006, Jeb graduated magna cum laude from the Indiana University School of Law-Indianapolis. He graduated in the top 10 percent of his class. While attending law school, Jeb interned for Magistrate Judge Kennard P. Foster of the United States District Court for the Southern District of Indiana.
